Finding your way around

The bottom bar, the More sheet, search and notifications.

CareList is designed for phones. The same layout is used on every screen size.

Bottom bar

  • Home: your dashboard, with today's progress and what needs attention.
  • Tasks: checklists assigned to you.
  • Scan (centre button): opens the QR scanner for checklists, locations, equipment, bedside patient codes and sample labels.
  • Patients, Diagnostics or Orders: the main screen for your role. Ward roles in a hospital get Patients, lab and imaging roles get Diagnostics, and roles with neither (for example biomedical engineers and housekeeping) get Orders (work orders).
  • More: everything else.

The More sheet

Tap More to open a menu grouped into:

  • Clinical: Patients (hospitals only) and Diagnostics, if your role has access to them.
  • Work: My Team Dashboard, Corrective Actions, My History and Overall Histories.
  • Biomedical & facility: Equipment, Work orders, plus Maintenance schedules and Consumables & spares for roles that manage equipment.
  • Manage (roles with manager access only): Checklists, QR codes, Template library, Approvals, Deviations, Override Histories, DPR Reports, Analytics, Automation, Campus & Locations, Teams, Employees, Export data, Audit log and Settings.

What you see depends on your role. See Roles and what each can do.

At the top of the sheet you will find your name, role and email. At the bottom: My account, language, push notifications, Install app, Help and Log out.

Search

Tap the magnifier in the top bar and type at least two letters. Results cover equipment, work orders, corrective actions and inspections. Managers also search checklists and employees. People with patient access search patients, and people with diagnostics access search test orders. You can also use the search on the Diagnostics screen (name, patient ID or accession number).

Notifications

The bell shows unread items such as new assignments, reminders, approvals, critical values and TAT breaches. Opening the list marks them as read. Turn on push notifications to receive them when the app is closed, and see Email reports and alerts to get them by email.

Language

Use the language box in the More sheet to translate the screen with Google Translate.
