Assign a checklist
Give work to people, teams or places, once or on a repeat.
Managers assign checklists from Tasks (the create button) or Manage. Checklists for an admitted patient or a test order are added from the patient page or the order instead.
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Checklist | Only published checklists are listed. |
| Title (optional) | Overrides the checklist name, for example “Ward 3 night round”. |
| Location | The ward, room or department the inspection is about. |
| People | Choose one or more. Each person gets their own task. |
| Or a whole team | Assigns to every member of a team. |
| Due | Must be in the future. |
| Repeat | Never, Daily, Weekly or Monthly. |
| Notes | Instructions shown to the inspector. |
Assignees are notified immediately. Reminders go out for tasks that are due soon or overdue.
Repeating tasks
When a repeating task is completed, the next one is created for the following day, week or month and the assignee is notified. If a task was late, the next due date skips past occurrences so you are never handed a pile of overdue copies. (Care plans for admitted patients can repeat every few hours; see Care plans.)
Cancel or override
A manager can delete a task that is no longer needed, or override it with a reason.
